Introductory Tour, 3-Days / 2-Nights
Departure early morning from Coca Airport to Tierras Orientales. Lunch. Motorized canoe ride on the Aguarico River. Arrival at Cuyabeno Kichwa Lodge for a short rest in hammocks. Night walk through the jungle. Dinner at the Lodge with a few words of welcome from our guide.
The first day in the rainforest marks the beginning of a deep immersion into an environment that operates under its own rules. The humidity in the air, the dense aromas of the vegetation, and the constant sounds of the forest accompany the arrival into a living, ancestral territory. Throughout the day, local knowledge gradually unfolds through everyday practices and wisdom passed down through generations: basic survival techniques, identification of useful and medicinal plants, traditional navigation methods, and a balanced relationship with nature. This first encounter sets the rhythm of the journey and opens the path toward a more authentic understanding of the Amazon.
Canoe ride to observe birds, monkeys, pink dolphins and anacondas. Breakfast. Walk through the jungle to learn about the survival strategies and medicinal plants of our Kichwa ancestors. Lunch. We will take the boat and navigate upriver in search of birds and pink dolphins and return at night to observe caimans, snakes, owls, etc. Dinner.
With deep emotion and a sense of nostalgia, today marks the moment to say goodbye and return to our daily lives. We leave the rainforest behind its sounds, its people, and its unforgettable experiences grateful for every moment shared, for the lessons learned, and for the meaningful connection formed with nature and the community that welcomed us. This is not a farewell, but the closing of a journey that will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of every traveler.
