About Us

Our Concept of Ecotourism

At Kichwa Wildlife Center, we believe that tourism should be more than just visiting a destination – it should be a way to protect, share, and give back. Our project was created by the Kichwa community of the Ecuadorian Amazon to preserve the rainforest, safeguard our traditions, and offer visitors an authentic and sustainable experience in the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve.

History

Connecting People with Nature and Culture
Our vision is to create a bridge between visitors from around the world and the Amazon rainforest. Through responsible tourism, we invite travelers to connect with the incredible biodiversity of Cuyabeno and the ancestral wisdom of the Kichwa people, while ensuring the protection of this fragile ecosystem.

Sustainable Tourism

Tourism with Respect for the Rainforest
We follow a sustainable tourism model that minimizes environmental impact and maximizes benefits for both the community and the forest. Our eco-lodges are built with local materials, our tours are operated with respect for wildlife, and every decision we make prioritizes the health of the Amazon.
